As Governor Sheriff Francis Orohwedor Oborevwori of Delta State receives the highly coveted “This Day Newspaper / Arise TV Network Best Governor of the Year Award” Today Monday, January 27th, 2025, Senator Ighoyota Amori, the newly appointed Chief Adviser to the Governor, has described the honor as a fitting testament to Governor Oborevwori’s remarkable service delivery to the people of Delta State.
In a press statement released shortly after the event , Senator Amori, who is set to be sworn in as Chief Adviser to the Governor, lauded Oborevwori’s administration for its unparalleled strides in infrastructural development, economic empowerment and human capital investment. Massive Infrastructural Development: The governor has overseen the construction and rehabilitation of over 500 kilometers of roads, bridges, and drainage systems across the state, including urban roads in Warri, Effurun, and Asaba, as well as rural roads to connect hard-to-reach communities.
Job and Wealth Creation:
Through targeted empowerment programs, such as the Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Program (YAGEP) Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Program (STEP), the Delta Cares empowerment Program, thousands of youths have been equipped with skills and resources to become self-reliant.
