Burial programme for the former Kogi Deputy governor, Chief Patrick Adaba begins today, interment in Okene on May 2nd

Activities for the burial of the former Deputy governor of Kogi state, chief Patrick Lexy Adaba has been released.

According to the family statement signed by Mr Patrick Adaba Junior, requiem mass for the deceased will hold today thirtieth April, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic church, Maitama Abuja between four to six o’clock in the evening and a night of tribute will hold same-day at HIP Events Centre between six to eight o’clock in the evening.

The statement said the body will depart Abuja on first May, 2025 to his home town in Okene, Kogi state.

According to the statement, there will be lying in state on the second day of May, 2025 at his family residence at Otutu Quarters between 7.30 and 8.30 in the morning while the burial mass will hold same-day between 10am to 12noon at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Okene and reception will follow immediately at the family residence at Otutu Quarters in okene.

Chief Patrick Adaba who served as the deputy governor of Kogi state between 1999 – 2023 died in Abuja on tenth of March, 2025 at the age of 78.
