Canada Group lauds Nwifuru for Sponsoring 204 Youths on Foreign Scholarship

The association of Ebonyi Indigenes in Diaspora, Canada branch has commended the state governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru for sponsoring 204 youths to the United Kingdom on scholarship.
In a statement, the leader of the group, Chief Damian Inyere noted that the initiative was a profound commitment to youth empowerment and advancement of education in the state.
He expressed confidence that Governor Nwifuru has taken courageous steps towards repositioning the education sector in the state which is a bedrock of development.
The group said they are willing to partner with the state government on areas of investment priority in line with the industrialisation vision of the Nwifuru’s administration.
Inyere said: “we, the Ebonyi Indigenes in Canada wish to commend our dear Governor, Chief Francis Nwifuru on his courage to sponsor 204 youths on scholarship to the United Kingdom”.
“It is an uncommon initiative which will significantly reposition the education sector in the state. It is this type of initiative that will stimulate the economy on the long run”.
“Investment in the education sector is the cradle for development. We want to inform our Governor that we are willing to partner with his government invest in the state”.
The group also appealed to the state government to attract investors to harness the mineral resources in the state.
