CHIEF KAYODE TIMOTHY, AKEWEJE OF ALIU, HONOURED WITH YOUTH EMPOWERMENT AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICE AWARD 2026

Chief Kayode Timothy, the Akeweje of Aliu and General Manager of Abyem-Diva Nigeria Limited, Kano, has been honoured with the prestigious Youth Empowerment and Community Development Service Award 2026 by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The award was presented at the newspaper’s 16th Anniversary and Awards Ceremony held in Abuja. The organisers recognised Chief Timothy for his commitment to youth empowerment, job creation, and community development initiatives in Kogi, Kano states and beyond.

Chief Timothy was represented at the event by Amb. David Owa.
In the acceptance message delivered on his behalf, the Akeweje of Aliu expressed appreciation to Democracy Newsline for the recognition. He described the award as a call to do more for young people and for the development of communities.
“I dedicate this honour to the youths of Kano and Nigeria, and to everyone working to create opportunities at the grassroots. This recognition will spur us to continue investing in people and building a better society,” the message stated.
The organisers noted that the award was in recognition of Chief Timothy’s leadership at Abyem-Diva Nigeria Limited and his sustained efforts in mentoring young entrepreneurs, supporting skills acquisition, and funding community projects.
