US-Based Philanthropist Honoured for Grassroots Impact and Humanitarian Service

ABUJA — Renowned US-based community leader and philanthropist, Chief Mrs. Toyin Omole, has been honoured with the Prestigious Community Development Service Award 2026 by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
The award was presented to her during the 16th Public Lecture and Induction Ceremony of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, held in Abuja, with the theme: “Economic Reform and Sustainable Development in a Democracy: The Nigerian Experience.”
Chief Mrs. Omole was recognised for her outstanding contributions to grassroots development and humanitarian services, both in Nigeria and in the diaspora.

According to the awarding organisation, she was selected in recognition of her sustained commitment to improving the lives of underserved communities through educational support, healthcare interventions, women and youth empowerment, as well as direct welfare programmes.
Speaking after receiving the award, Chief Mrs. Omole dedicated the honour to the numerous individuals and communities whose lives have been positively impacted by her initiatives.
“This honour is for every community member back home and in the diaspora working to make a difference. Service is a responsibility, and I will continue to give back to grassroots development because that is where true impact begins,” she said.
