CHIEF YOMI CHARLES OLORUNSOLA TO RECEIVE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SERVICE AWARD FROM DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE NEWSPAPER

The President of Absolute Group of Companies, Abuja and a renowned community leader and philanthropist, Chief Yomi Charles Olorunsola, is set to receive the Community Development Service Award from DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE Newspaper in recognition of his outstanding contributions to grassroots development, youth empowerment, and social welfare.
The award will be presented to him at the newspaper’s 16th Public Lecture and Induction into the Good Governance Hall of Fame, scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 19th August, 2026 at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja at 5:00pm.

The event, organized to commemorate 27 Years of Uninterrupted Democracy in Nigeria, has the theme: “Economic Reform, Democracy and Sustainable Development: The Nigerian Example.”
Announcing the honour, the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of DEMOCRACY NEWSLINE Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, described Chief Olorunsola as a selfless leader whose commitment to community development has transformed lives and brought relief to many underprivileged families.
“Chief Yomi Charles Olorunsola has consistently demonstrated that true leadership is about service. Through various interventions in education, healthcare, empowerment programmes, and infrastructure support, he has made significant impact in his community and beyond,” Chief Femi stated.
Over the years, Chief Olorunsola has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at uplifting the less privileged, supporting small businesses, and providing platforms for youth development. His philanthropic gestures have earned him wide respect across community and professional circles.
The ceremony will also feature a public lecture by leading policy experts and the induction of other distinguished Nigerians into the Good Governance Hall of Fame for their contributions to democracy, leadership, and national development.
Traditional rulers, government officials, captains of industry, and community stakeholders from across the country are expected to attend the event.
