Commander Omodara (rtd) Congratulates Olubunu on Centenary Celebration, Describes Monarch as a Unifying

The State Security Adviser to the Government of Kogi State and one of the key leaders in Bunuland, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), has expressed joy and congratulations to the Olubunu of Bunu Kingdom, His Royal Majesty Oba Adebayo Joseph Ikusemoro, on his centenary birthday and 64th anniversary celebration.
The Okeofin-Bunu born retired Navy Officer described the occasion as a remarkable milestone for the Bunu people, noting that it brought together the entire Bunu community, both home and abroad, in celebration of their monarch’s achievement.
He praised the Olubunu for his leadership and longevity, saying that the monarch’s 100 years of life and 64 years on the throne is a testament to the blessings of the area.
He also highlighted the current administration’s commitment to development in Bunuland, particularly the construction of the Kabba – Okeofin – Olle – Iluke road, which he said is imminent, stressing that Governor Usman Ododo is fully committed to the development of the area.
On security, he noted that the situation in Okunland is gradually improving, with the government working to address the challenges of banditry by targeting not just the bandits themselves, but also their logistics suppliers and collaborators.
He revealed that the government has made progress in apprehending some of the collaborators and logistics suppliers, and promised that more arrests will be made as investigations continue.
He congratulated the Olubunu of Bunu Kingdom and the entire Bunu people on the successful celebration of this historic event.
