Conferment of Chieftaincy Title: Okun United for Ododo/Joel Rejoices with Tinubu’s Daughter on her installation as the Aare Oja of Okunland,  congratulates Oba Owoniyi

Okun United for Ododo/Joel Project has rejoiced with the daughter of President Bola Tinubu, Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Chief (Mrs) Afolasade Mujidat Tinubu-Ojo on her conferment as the Aare Oja of Okunland by His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman, Okun Area Traditional Council yesterday.

This was disclosed in a press statement signed by the leadership of the support group and made available to newsmen today in Lokoja.

The group in the statement said they are glad to have been part of the glamorous event that has Governor Yahaya Bello, Honourable Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubaka,  Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Folashade Arike Ayoade,  other top functionaries in  the state and other dignitaries from all walks of life especially the market women from the South West Zone in attendance to witness the historic occasion.

 

The group said the Chieftaincy title will go a long way to further cement the relationship of the Lagos Southwest people with that of Okun nation, pointing out that laudable initiatives by the traditional institution should be sustained.

They also commended Governor Yahaya Bello, who despite his tight schedule was able to attend the all important occasion in Kabba to honor the daughter of President Bola Tinubu, adding that the singular act is a clear demonstration of the governor’s love for the first family in Nigeria

Present at the occasion include, Barrister Alfred Bello, Director General of the group, Hon. Philip Orebiyi, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), Dr Olorunmola, Pastor Olubato Samuel, Hon Segun Ogbonikon, Vice chairperson, Yagba East local government area,
