Dr. Martina Yilwatda Charges Women to Participate in 2027 General Elections
By Peter Azi – Jos
The wife of the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Martina Yildatwa, has appealed to women across the country to fully participate in the 2027 general elections.
Dr. Martina made the call in Jos while interacting with journalists, stressing that women must recognise their votes as their voices and instruments for influencing governance and decision-making.
She urged women not only to come out and cast their votes during the elections but also to actively contest for elective positions.
“As a mother, I am concerned about the low participation of women in politics. It is only through our participation that we can influence decisions and contribute meaningfully to the development of our society,” she said.
Dr. Martina served as the Chairperson of the occasion during the investiture of Patrons of the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Plateau State Council.
While congratulating the newly inducted patrons, she urged them to remain committed to their responsibilities and mentor the boys to attain greater heights while upholding the values of integrity, discipline and good character.
She assured the Boys’ Brigade Nigeria of continued support, particularly in advancing its programmes and its mission of preaching the gospel of Christ.
The event attracted dignitaries from within and outside Plateau State.
