DR. USMAN OGBO HAILS KOGI EAST CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS FOR VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON GOV. ODODO, EX-GOV. BELLO

Dr. Usman Ogbo, has commended the Kogi East Critical Stakeholders for the wisdom and forthrightness demonstrated through the vote of confidence passed on the Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello.

Dr. Ogbo who made commendation in Lokoja said the open support declared by the stakeholders in the wake of the politicised media trial and persecution of the former Governor was an indication of their commitment to fairness, Justice and the rule of law.

He described the stakeholders as men of seasoned experience and honest dispositions in various spheres of human endeavours, stressing that the position canvassed by such men should be accorded all the respect it deserves in the interest of peace and development of Kogi East in particular and the State as a whole.

Dr Ogbo reiterated that, the public declaration by the Kogi East Stakeholders is timely and justifiable so as not allow the action of the android generation to annihilate the good people of Kogi East to political extinction in the scheme of things in Kogi State and Nigeria at large.

Dr. Ogbo opined that, any political endeavours without sacrifice and tolerance of divergent opinions is dangerously self-serving and counterproductive in all ramifications with glaring future consequences that are capable of consuming all and sundry.

He cautioned that a goat should not be allowed to suffer parturition on its tether while there is an adult at home, and commended the stakeholders for rising to the occasion as elders and disabusing the minds of well meaning people of Kogi East against baseless and fake information being peddled by android generation.

He appealed to the elders not to be perturbed by whatever insult or assault thrown in their direction as theirs was akin to the missions of most men of God in the holy books who were roundly mocked by their people, but never relented until truth prevailed.

Dr Usman, therefore, charged the stakeholders to continue to speak the truth about issues concerning the State in the interest of unity, peace and development.

Dr. Ogbo applauded Governor Ododo for sustaining the laudable legacies of his immediate predecessor as he recently marked 100 days in office which is a clear indication of the gain of continuity of Government in Kogi State.

Dr. Ogbo described former Governor Bello as a person of significant value who should be applauded by all Kogi people for daring to project Kogi State on the national political discourse and further commitment to the laudable projects his administration bequated across the state.

Doing such, he stressed, was a testimony to his doggedness and belief that the minorities in the country also have equal stakes with the majorities in the affairs of national governance.

Dr Usman commended the Governor, Usman Ododo, for the solid foundation and clear direction so far projected in the Continuity and Consolidation Project.

He expressed the confidence that, even though the time and energy required for sustainable governance is receiving distractions through needless litigation at the electoral tribunal, he was optimistic that the matter would be resolved in the interest of good governance under the leadership of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

He, therefore, appealed to all indigenes of Kogi State to rally round the leadership of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for peace, unity, orderliness and development of Kogi State.
