Egbe Community Lauds Senator Karimi’s Impact, Calls for Unity in Kogi West
The people of Egbe have continued to commend the developmental initiatives of Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, with growing sentiments that his interventions are reshaping the narrative of representation in Kogi West Senatorial District.
This position was reinforced by Professor Tunde Olusunle, who spoke after attending the 2025 Egbe Mekun Day Celebrations, where he served as a Special Guest.
Olusunle disclosed that his independent assessment of projects linked to the senator revealed a consistent focus on both infrastructure and human capital development. Key among such projects, he noted, is the modern Computer-Based Test centre at Titcombe College, alongside a strategically established Forward Operating Base aimed at strengthening security in the area.
He also highlighted the construction of a befitting palace for the Elegbe of Egbe, describing it as a significant cultural and institutional upgrade for the community.
Beyond physical projects, the professor pointed to ongoing scholarship programmes and employment facilitation efforts credited to the senator, noting that many youths have directly benefited from these initiatives.
While applauding the achievements, Olusunle urged stakeholders across Okunland to consolidate on the gains by fostering unity and avoiding internal divisions.
He warned that political distractions and unnecessary rivalries could slow down development, stressing that collective support remains vital for sustained progress in the district.
The call comes amid increasing political activities in Kogi West, with observers noting that cohesion among leaders and constituents will play a critical role in determining the pace of future development.
