Egbe Unity Day 2025: Standing Strong Together in Celebrating Unity and Determination as Engr. Ayodele Chairs the Occasion

At the 2025 edition of the ‘Egbe Unity Day’ celebration, it was a gathering of the people of Egbe, as the people demonstrated their shared love for their motherland, displaying the rich culture and traditions of Egbe people, who used the occasion to reaffirm their resolve never to be deterred by anything but to pull resources together to fight insecurity, carry out community development programs, and the unity of Egbe land.

The chairman of the occasion, Engr. Ayodele Karimi commended the people of Egbe for their resilience and courage in the face of the security challenges confronting the community. He appreciated the federal and state government for their efforts at combating the situation and was full of praises for the gallant men of the security agencies who have being at the war front, some, who had paid the supreme price for security their people. While also showing his admiration to the people for not succumbing to the tactics of the evildoers who had planned to instill fear and demoralize them, but they remain firm and resolute, with hope and showing the determimination of the people to win which gave him hope and pride — proof that Egbe people are not conquered.

Speaking firmly on the issue of insecurity, Karimi emphasized the need for the Kogi State government and House of Assembly “to legislate on unregulated grazing; the FG should reconsider the cashless policy which would prevent ransom payments, stamp out proliferation of arms and light weapons; incorporate an improved border control within the states; equip security personnel and vigilantes including boosting their morale and supplying needed logistics within the ambits of the law”

Ayodele Karimi attended the event with some of his family members, friends, and associates who also joined in the celebration to experience the rich culture and traditions of Egbe firsthand.
Together, they made a financial contribution toward the community’s development, reaffirming their commitment to the unity and progress of Egbe.

Senator Sunday Steve Karimi, who was also present at the occasion, commended the people for standing tall above challenges facing the people, Kogi West, Kogi State, and Nigeria at large. He assured the people that the governments of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR is working round the clock at bringing a lasting and sustained peace, security, and prosperity to the people of Nigeria. The Senator also briefed the people that hundreds of security personnel are presently after the evildoers that have been causing mayhem, facing them day and night and sending them back to where they belong and promised they will not leave until the last one of them is sent away, while also assuring the people that he is always with them to represent their voices, bring as many development to Kogi west and deliver in all of his promises.
