For your sake, we are for APC – Lokoja II stakeholders assure Kogi Assembly Speaker

From his turf of Kanda to Kupa, Eggan and Oworo, the entire people of Lokoja II have resolved to support the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in all future elections in Kogi State as a demonstration of their stand behind the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf.
Stakeholders from the communities made the resolve when they visited the speaker at his community of Eddo, in Kakanda Ward during the Eid Celebration.
Various speakers from the communities expressed confidence in the leadership ability of the Rt Hon Yusuf, and described him as a political giant that has demonstrated his ability overtime, especially in past elections even before he became the head of Kogi State Legislature.
While thanking the State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and APC leadership in Kogi State for believing in their son and entrusting him to head the state assembly, Hon Muhammed Maku promised that the speaker would make Kakanda Kingdom and Lokoja II proud by demonstrating his sterling qualities.
He said their belief in the speaker has been earned because he has performed exceptionally in the political, traditional and administrative positions of trust he occupied in the past.
Other respondents who took turns to also pledge their support for Rt. Hon Yusuf stated that APC has no challenge in the area because every stakeholder knows the pedigree of the legislator, and assured the APC in Kogi State that beginning from November 2023 election, it can rest easy and be sure of victory.
Responding, an overwhelmed speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Aliyu Umar Yusuf expressed gratitude to the people for the support, and assured them of his preparedness to be an exemplary ambassador of Kakanda Kingdom, Lokoja II and the state in general in whatever position he finds himself.
Rt. Hon Yusuf, who is the Garkuwa of Kakanda Kingdom said his emergence has shown that APC under Governor Yahaya Bello is a party that rewards service and hard work, noting that having given a lot before his election into the Assembly, now is the time to demonstrate his full capacity as the third person in Kogi State Leadership hierarchy, beginning with the next governorship poll in the state.
The Speaker enjoined the stakeholders not to rest on their oars, and charged them to comb all parts of the Lokoja II to ensure the message of the APC reached the hinterlands to ensure a glitch-free victory for the party in all elections.
Highlights of the occasion was the Nko festival which held in Budon, the Headquarters of Kakanda District of Lokoja Local Government where traditional rulers, industrialists, political leaders and other prominent sons and daughters of the area gathered to pay homage to the Agankyu as part of Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
