Former Governor Yahaya Bello: A Shining Example of Humility and Generosity

By Abah Benjamin Eneojoh

Okene, Kogi State

June 7, 2025.

The Eid Kabir Sallah celebration took on a grand dimension as the people of Central Senatorial Districts of Kogi State converged on the residence of former Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello. The event was a proof of the love and admiration the people have for the former Governor, who is known for his benevolence and cheerful nature.

As the crowds gathered at his residence, Governor Bello opened his doors wide, welcoming his people with open arms. The atmosphere was filled with joy, laughter, and a sense of community, as people from all walks of life came together to celebrate the Sallah festivities with their beloved leader.

The former Governor’s house was transformed into a veritable feast hall, with tables upon tables of sumptuous delicacies laid out for the crowd. The gesture was a reflection of Governor Bello’s generosity and willingness to share his blessings with his people.

Throughout the day, Governor Bello mingled with the crowd, sharing in their joy and felicitations. His affable nature and warm smile endeared him to all, as people of all ages and backgrounds flocked to pay their respects and seek his blessings.

The grand reception is a show of Governor Bello’s enduring legacy in Kogi State. His people have not forgotten his benevolence and selflessness during his tenure as Governor, and they continue to hold him in high esteem.

As the Sallah celebrations come to a close, one thing is clear: Governor Yahaya Bello’s love for his people knows no bounds. His willingness to open his doors and share his blessings with the crowd is a reflection of his commitment to his people, and his people will forever be grateful.

In a world where leaders often prioritize protocol over people, Governor Bello’s humility and willingness to connect with his people is a breath of fresh air. His legacy continues to inspire hope and confidence in the hearts of Kogi State residents, and his name remains synonymous with kindness, generosity, and selflessness.

Long live Governor Yahaya Bello, and may Allah continue to bless him and his family with good health, prosperity, and happiness.
