Former Kogi Speaker Kolawole Hails Ododo’s Security Architecture, Sympathises with Iluke Community

Former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, has commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for what he described as a proactive and effective security architecture aimed at tackling criminal activities across the state.

Kolawole gave the commendation while reacting to recent security measures introduced by the state government to curb banditry, kidnapping and other violent crimes, particularly in vulnerable communities.

The former Speaker noted that Governor Ododo’s acquisition of security assets, deployment of security personnel and implementation of strategic policies demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding lives and property in Kogi State.

According to him, the governor’s determination to strengthen security operations has sent a clear message that criminal elements will no longer find safe havens within the state.

He urged residents to support the government’s efforts by providing timely and useful information to security agencies, stressing that security remains a collective responsibility.

Kolawole also commiserated with the people of Iluke community over recent security challenges and attacks that have affected the area.

He expressed sympathy to families who lost loved ones and those who suffered injuries or destruction of property, assuring them that the state government and security agencies are taking necessary steps to restore peace and prevent future occurrences.

The former lawmaker called for unity among community leaders, youth groups and stakeholders in Iluke and adjoining communities, urging them to cooperate with security operatives in identifying and exposing criminal elements.

He expressed confidence that the ongoing security interventions by the Ododo administration would yield positive results and help restore lasting peace across affected communities.

Kolawole reaffirmed his support for initiatives aimed at enhancing security and development in Kogi State, while praying for the repose of those who lost their lives and quick recovery for victims of the attacks.

He urged residents not to relent in supporting government efforts, emphasizing that collective vigilance remains essential in the fight against insecurity.
