Former Speaker, Prince Matthew Kolawole Mourns the Passing of Hajia Rekiya Usman Alfa (Hajia London)

The immediate past Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Matthew Kolawole, has expressed deep sorrow over the sudden demise of Hajia Rekiya Usman Alfa, fondly known as Hajia London.

In a heartfelt condolence message, Prince Kolawole described Hajia Rekiya as a rare gem, a selfless community developer, a devoted mother to many, a generous philanthropist, and a virtuous woman whose legacy of compassion and service will be remembered for generations.

He noted that the news of her sudden demise came to him  as a rude shock, emphasized the profound respect he has for Hajia Rekiya, acknowledging her unwavering dedication to the upliftment of her community and the lives she touched through her benevolence.

Rt. Hon. Kolawole extended his heartfelt condolences to the immediate family, children, Owe community, friends, and loved ones of the deceased, praying that the Almighty God will grants them the strength and fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

He concluded by urging everyone to reflect on the impactful life she lived and to continue her legacy of kindness and community service.
