Gbeleko Citizens United (GCU) the host community of the Kogi State University, Kabba Appreciates Governor Bello
The host community of the newly established Kogi State University, Kabba, Kogi State, north central Nigeria has penned a strong worded appreciation letter to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello for his courage and determination in fulfilling the long aged desires of the people of Okunland in having an institution of higher learning on their soil.
This was contained in an appreciation letter glimpsed by DemocracyNewsline online, signed by the Chairman of Gbeleko Citizens United, (GCU) Registered Association, Engr. Sabo Raphael.
According to the letter, the people of Gbeleko community in Kabba (Owe) Kingdom which happened to be the host community of the institution are full of excitements in receiving the good news of the establishment of the Kogi State University and its subsequence recognition by the Nigeria Universities Commission (NUC) to operate as the 62nd State owned University in Nigeria.
They noted with nostalgia the good intention of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello to leave an indelible marks before completing his tenure in early 2024, stressing that he has written his name in gold with this singular act that will be forever remembered by the people of the community with the enormous soci-economic transformation the institution will come with.
“On behalf of the people and Gbeleko Traditional Council wish to register their sincere and special Appreciations to Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello and the Government of Kogi State for this kind gesture of hosting a state owned University”
