Global Fire Security: Kogi State Government Trains over 40 Fire Fighters with State of art Fire Equipment.

By Abah Benjamin Eneojoh

Kogi State Government has successfully trained over 40 Fire personnel with the recently procured modern Fire Engine to combat Fire emergencies in the State.

The State Commissioner for Works and Housing Hon. Samson Bako while addressing Newsmen in Lokoja on 25/10/2023 said Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello, CON has demonstrated beyond measure to provide Global Standard Fire Facility with Foreign Trainers to ensure that the fire crisis in Kogi State is permanently resolved.

Bako while advising the Trainees to inculcate a maintenance culture for sustainability also charged them to imbibe the spirit of Teamwork for maximum performance.

The Commissioner also eulogized Governor Bello for providing the Fire Equipment adding that if the Constitution had allowed, the Governor would have been given more Tenures to rule, stressing that Kogi got it better with Gov. Bello.

In his words “As you can see, no leadership in Kogi state has done what Gov. Yahaya Adoza Bello has done. You all know what happened when Pee Link Shop gutted fire, you are all aware of the Felele and Ochadamu fire incidences; nobody could help because there was no fire fighting facility in the state but today Gov. Bello has provided three modern Fire Engines. Is this not enough reason for us to vote for Alh Ododo Ahmed Usman come 11/11/2023?” He said

Speaking also at the Occasion, the Managing Director of Intersave International LLC from Pakistan, Syed Aijaz Karim noted that Gov Bello has asked his company to provide the Global Standard Fire Training for the Fire Personnel in Kogi State. He also charged the State to establish an International comprehensive Emergency Rescue System in Kogi State.

In a closing remark, Mr Alabi Samuel on behalf of the DG of the State Fire Agency thanked Governor Bello for the gesture and promised the Trainers thea he would engage his men for further in-house training for expertise
