Governor Ododo stated this after observing his prayer on Wednesday in commemoration of the Eid-el-Fitr in Okene, Kogi State.

According to him, “The month of ramadan is not only a time of food and drinks. It is a time of spiritual requirements, compassion for one another.

“The month of ramadan is a time that teaches us patience, empathy, love and understanding within and among our people. As we mark the end of the ramadan fast, I am urging each and everyone of us to carry forward the lessons we learnt in this month of ramadan.

“Let us continue to practice kindness, generosity, love and understanding in our daily lives. This month of ramadan is a month that teaches us to remember those that are less privilege and enable us to extend hands of fellowship to those who are in need”he stated.

The Governor, however, commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his sincere and purposeful leadership, adding that, the people of Kogi State will continue to support the success of his administration.

“President Bola Tinubu efforts at reviving Nigeria is already yielding result. We will continue to support him so that we can get ourself together out of this inherited economic crisis”.

Responding to the recent attack in Omala Local Government that claimed scores of lives, Governor Ododo told journalists that, the suspected sponsors have been arrested.

Continuing, Governor Ododo said
“Reacting to noise makers, and those that does not have stake as far as governance is concern is not part of the mandate given to me by the good people of Kogi State and Mr President. The crisis in Bagana in Omala Local Government did not start today. It has been in existence for over 45 years ago, precisely 1978. We are doing our best to make sure peace is restored within the area.

” As I speak to you today, the suspected sponsors have been arrested, investigation are ongoing. They are giving us useful information that will lead to the arrest of other suspects. As soon as we are done with that investigation, the report will be made known to the public”
