Abuja – April 20, 2026
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, on Monday paid a courtesy visit to elder statesman, Elder Ben Olowodola, at his Abuja residence, in what sources described as a “father-and-son” heart-to-heart conversation on the future of Kogi State.
The closed-door meeting centered on strategies to move Kogi State forward, with special focus on development in Kogi West Senatorial District.
Discussions also touched on political plans for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Ododo ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Source close to the talks said both leaders agreed on the need for unity, inclusive governance, and stronger grassroots mobilization in Kogi West.
Governor Ododo was said to have reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to infrastructure, youth engagement, and equitable distribution of projects across the state’s three senatorial zones.
Elder Olowodola, a respected political figure in Kogi West, reportedly pledged his support for initiatives that would deepen development and political stability in the zone and the state at large.
The visit is seen by political watchers as part of ongoing consultations by the governor to consolidate alliances and align stakeholders ahead of 2027.
