Governor Mutfwang Pledges Support for Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science

Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State has assured the Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Jos, of his administration’s unwavering support. This commitment was made during a courtesy visit by the college’s management team, led by Provost Professor Sunday Etukudoh, to the Governor at Government House, Little Rayfield, Jos.
Professor Etukudoh commended Governor Mutfwang’s leadership and developmental initiatives, reaffirming the college’s support for his administration. He highlighted the institution’s significance as a resource base for producing medical laboratory professionals for the country. The Provost also revealed the college’s affiliation with the University of Jos, enabling it to commence degree programs. However, he noted challenges hindering progress, including the lack of an administrative block, student hostels, and access roads.
In response, Governor Mutfwang praised the college’s remarkable achievements under Professor Etukudoh’s leadership. Despite limited funding, he pledged to enhance the institution’s operational capacity. The Governor emphasized the importance of education in equipping citizens with necessary skills and expressed his commitment to sustaining the college in Plateau State. He assured the Provost that his administration would examine the college’s requests and provide support wherever possible.
The meeting underscored the potential for fruitful collaboration between the state government and the Federal College of Medical Laboratory Science and Technology, Jos, in advancing healthcare and education in Plateau State.
