Governor Umaru Bago Presents Vehicles to Niger State Revenue Service
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has presented vehicles to the Chairman and Directors of the State Revenue Service to enhance their functionality and boost morale.
The presentation was made at the Government House in Minna.
He commended the Revenue Service for generating over N100 billion in revenue, exceeding their target.
He noted that the Revenue Service has been given the privilege to generate revenue, pay salaries, and remit to the State Government.
He urged the Revenue Service to explore more avenues to double revenue generation.
Reaction from the Revenue Service
The Chairman of the Niger State Revenue Service, Alh. Muhammad Etsu, appreciated the Governor for the gesture, attributing their success to the administration’s support. He assured that doubling the current revenue is possible, especially with the State’s industrialization and incoming investments.
The presentation of vehicles aims to further encourage the Revenue Service to raise Niger State’s revenue profile.
