Hajiya Mario Angulu Mourns Late Chief Ajuma Theresa Ogar, Describes Her as a Pillar of Unity

The Chairperson of the Market Women Association and leader of women in Idah Local Government Area of Kogi State, Chief Hajiya Mario Angulu, has commiserated with the Ogar family over the passing of the family’s matriarch, Chief Ajuma Theresa Ogar.

Speaking shortly after the funeral Mass held at St. Francis Catholic Church, Idah, Kogi State, on Thursday, July 30, 2026, for the repose of the soul of the late Chief Ajuma Theresa Ogar, Hajiya Mario described her death as a great loss to the women of Idah Local Government Area and the community at large.

She paid glowing tribute to the late Chief Ajuma Ogar, praising her dedication, steadfastness, and unwavering commitment to promoting unity and peace among female traditional title holders and women across Idah Local Government Area.

According to her, the deceased played a significant role in fostering harmony and mobilizing women for community development and service.

Hajiya Mario further described the late Chief Ajuma Ogar as a pillar among the female traditional chiefs, noting that her wisdom and exceptional ability to resolve internal disputes within the group were unmatched. She prayed that Almighty Allah grants the departed eternal rest and gives her family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.

She also urged female traditional title holders and women throughout Idah Local Government Area to emulate the exemplary life of the late Chief Ajuma Theresa Ogar, whose legacy of selfless service, leadership, and community development will continue to inspire future generations.
