HAPPY WORKERS’ DAY MESSAGE
FROM ENGR. SANI NDANUSA, UBANDOMAN JIWA FNSE,
FNICE, FNIM, Marafan Nupe | Iconic Leader | Elder Statesman | Mentor
On this symbolic occasion of International Workers’ Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and deepest appreciation to all the hardworking men and women across Nigeria—particularly the resilient and selfless workforce in the North Central zone and our dear nation. This day is not only a celebration of your labour but also a testament to your commitment, perseverance, and contribution to national development.
Let us reflect on the indelible value of your sweat and service in building the foundations of our schools, industries, hospitals, transportation systems, public institutions, and private enterprises. Whether you serve in the fields, in classrooms, behind the desks, in workshops or on the frontlines, your dedication is the invisible bridge that connects our hopes to tomorrow’s progress.
> The dignity of labour lies not in the reward, but in the responsibility it carries and the impact it leaves behind.”
On this occasion, I urge every worker—young and old, skilled and unskilled, public and private—to see your role not as mere occupation but as a sacred contribution to the nation’s destiny. Our journey as a people is incomplete without your strength, your ideas, your hands, and your conscience.
To this end, I encourage every Nigerian worker to embrace excellence, integrity, and patriotism as core values. In a nation grappling with the heavy weight of corruption and inefficiency, let us reject shortcuts and stand tall in truth. Let your work be a mirror of honesty and productivity, not just a means of survival but a pathway to legacy.
> *We cannot build a just society on the back of dishonest service. Productivity is national wealth, but integrity is national peace.*
To my fellow leaders and employers, let us not only recognize workers today but continue to *improve working conditions, honour merit, ensure fair wages, and create safe environments* for all. Investing in our workforce is investing in the future of Nigeria.
As we march, sing, or reflect in our diverse ways today, I invoke *divine blessings* upon you all. May Almighty God, in His infinite mercy, bless your efforts, protect your families, and reward your toil. For our Christian brethren, I pray the grace and peace of the Lord rest upon your work. For our Muslim brothers and sisters, may Allah (SWT) grant you barakah in your endeavours and reward you abundantly.
Let us stay united across tribes, faiths, and professions, because “the strength of our nation is rooted in the unity of our workers.”
Happy Workers’ Day once again!
May you all continue to prosper in purpose, peace, and productivity.
Signed,
Engr. Sani Ndanusa, FNSE, FNICE, FNIM
