Hon. (Arc) Salman Idris to Receive Award as Best House of Reps Member Implementing Constituency Projects in North Central Nigeria

The Member representing Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Hon. (Arc) Salman Idris, has been selected to receive an award as the Best House of Representatives Member Implementing Constituency Projects (Infrastructure) in North Central Nigeria by Democracy Newsline Newspaper.

The award recognises Hon Idris’ outstanding delivery of infrastructure projects across Kabba/Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency, including road construction and rehabilitation, classroom blocks, healthcare facilities, solar-powered boreholes, and rural electrification.
According to the Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Democracy Newsline Newspaper, Chief Olugbemi Femi, the honour is based on a performance assessment of federal lawmakers in the North Central zone on project execution, quality, and impact on communities.
“Hon. (Arc) Salman Idris has demonstrated that representation goes beyond legislation. His background as an Architect reflects in the quality and spread of infrastructure he has attracted and delivered to his people. He is setting a benchmark for constituency representation,” Chief Femi said.
The award will be presented to him on Wednesday, August 19, 2026 at 5:00pm during the Democracy Newsline Newspaper 16th Public Lecture and Induction into the Good Governance Hall of Fame holding at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja.
The event will also feature a keynote lecture by Mukadam Asiwaju Asiru Idris, FCA, Honourable Commissioner for Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, Kogi State, and the induction of other distinguished Nigerians for their contributions to good governance.
Chairperson of the occasion is Chief (Mrs) Moji Makanjuola, Veteran Broadcaster.
Special Guest of Honour is Hon Mohammed Idris, Honourable Minister, Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation. While Asiwaju Prince Olatunji Olusoji will be the special guest of honor,
