According to him, effective local government administration remains fundamental to democratic development, as it provides the closest level of governance to the people and serves as a critical platform for addressing community needs, improving infrastructure, promoting social welfare, and expanding opportunities for residents.

Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi expressed confidence that the renewed mandate would further strengthen the administration’s commitment to responsive governance, transparency, accountability, and inclusive development. He urged the chairman to sustain his developmental drive and remain steadfast in prioritising the welfare and aspirations of the people of Kabba/Bunu.

He also congratulated all the 15 Ward Councillors on their electoral success, describing their victories as both an honour and a responsibility to represent their respective wards with integrity, dedication, humility, and a strong sense of accountability.

He emphasised that the councillors occupy a strategic position in the local government structure, as they serve as the direct representatives of their communities and are expected to articulate the needs of their constituents while working collaboratively with the local government chairman to promote development across the 15 wards.

He urged the newly elected councillors to regard their victories not merely as political achievements but as a call to greater service, encouraging them to maintain close relationships with their constituents, listen to the concerns of the people, and ensure that the benefits of democratic governance reach every community.

Furthermore, Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi stressed the importance of unity, cooperation, and a shared vision among the chairman and the councillors, noting that a harmonious working relationship between the executive and legislative arms of the local government would be essential to achieving meaningful progress.

He expressed optimism that the renewed mandate would usher in a new chapter of stronger grassroots governance, improved service delivery, sustainable development, and greater opportunities for the people of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.

He also commended the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission for its role in conducting the local government election and declaring the results, while calling on all stakeholders to support the elected leaders in the collective pursuit of peace, unity, and development.

In his congratulatory message, Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi stated:

“I heartily congratulate my dear brother, Hon. Barr. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, on his declaration as the winner of the October 17, 2026, local government election by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission. I equally extend my warm congratulations to all the 15 Ward Councillors on their electoral victories.

“This victory represents a renewed opportunity to serve the people, strengthen grassroots democracy, and deliver meaningful development to our communities. Leadership is a sacred responsibility, and I am confident that this mandate will inspire greater commitment to the welfare, aspirations, and collective progress of the people of Kabba/Bunu.

“I urge the chairman and all the councillors to remain united, accessible, transparent, and committed to the delivery of the dividends of democracy. May this new mandate bring greater peace, prosperity, infrastructural development, and opportunities to every ward and community across Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area.

“Once again, congratulations to the chairman and all the elected councillors. May Almighty God grant you the wisdom, strength, and good health to justify the confidence reposed in you by the people.”

Hon. Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi concluded by wishing Hon. Zacchaeus Dare Michael and all the 15 Ward Councillors a successful and productive tenure, expressing confidence that their collective commitment, unity of purpose, and dedication to public service would contribute significantly to the advancement of Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area and Kogi State at large.
