Hon. Owoniyi Stephen Femi (Omoga) Urges Kabba/Bunu and Entire Kogi State to Participate Actively in Ongoing Voters Registration

The Special Adviser to the Governor of Kogi State on Political Matters, Hon. Owoniyi Stephen Femi (popularly known as Omoga), has called on the good people of Kabba/Bunu Local Government and indeed all citizens of Kogi State to come out in their numbers and take advantage of the ongoing voters registration exercise.
Hon. Femi Omoga emphasized that the power of the people lies in their Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC), as only votes duly cast and counted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will determine leadership at all levels. He reminded citizens that political decisions are not influenced by social media propaganda, noise-making, or even prayers alone, but by the practical action of registering and exercising their right to vote.
According to him, “Every eligible citizen has a civic duty to participate in shaping the future of our state and our nation. It is not enough to complain about governance on social media or express dissatisfaction in private. Real change begins with taking responsibility, and that responsibility starts with getting your PVC.”
Hon. Omoga further urged religious leaders, traditional rulers, youth groups, and community associations to mobilize their members for this important national exercise. He stressed that voter registration is the first step towards ensuring that the voices of the people are heard and their interests protected in governance.
The ongoing registration by INEC provides an opportunity for first-time voters, those who have changed locations, and those who need corrections in their details to update their status. By participating fully, the people of Kogi State will be empowered to decide who governs them and to strengthen democracy.
He concluded by calling on all citizens not to delay, but to visit the nearest INEC registration center within their wards and communities to register and secure their PVCs before the deadline.
