Hon. Sumaila Umoru has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Kogi East and Nigeria at large on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
In his goodwill message, Hon. Umoru described Eid-el-Kabir as a season that symbolizes sacrifice, obedience, tolerance, and devotion to Almighty Allah, urging Muslims to sustain the teachings and virtues associated with the holy festival.
He called on the people of Kogi East to continue to promote peace, unity, mutual understanding, and harmonious coexistence for the overall development of the region.
The politician also used the opportunity to admonish youths to remain law-abiding, peaceful, and committed to meaningful ventures capable of contributing positively to society.
According to him, “The youths remain the backbone of our society and must resist every form of violence, criminality, drug abuse, and other social vices that could undermine their future and the peace of our communities.”
Hon. Umoru further prayed for lasting peace, progress, and prosperity in Kogi East, Kogi State, and Nigeria as a whole, while wishing all Muslims a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration.
“May Almighty Allah accept our sacrifices and bless our land with peace, unity, and abundant blessings,” he stated.
