Honourable Minister of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, to Receive Distinguished Leadership Award

The Honourable Minister of the Federal Ministry of Regional Development, Engr. Abubakar Momoh, is set to receive a prestigious Distinguished Leadership Award from Democracy Newsline Newspaper.
He said the recognition is part of the activities marking the 15th anniversary of the publication’s contributions to the media industry and society at large.
According to a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Engr. Abubakar’s exceptional leadership prowess in coordinating the activities of the newly created ministry has been instrumental in driving the developmental blueprint of the entire regional development commissions.
He noted that the award is a testament to his outstanding leadership skills and contributions to the socioeconomic development of all regions in the country.
The award ceremony will take place on August 26, 2025, at the Banquet Hall, National Merit House, Maitama, Abuja by 5pm, and will feature a Red Carpet Ceremony, main event, and dinner program.
The theme of the event is “The Role of Independent Media Organizations in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”
The occasion will also mark the launch of a ₦100 million fund for podcast studio equipment and the establishment of Democracy Newsline Newspaper Online Television, aimed at promoting democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
The award ceremony promises to be a significant event, bringing together leaders and stakeholders to discuss important issues and celebrate excellence.
