Hundreds of beneficiaries pray for Gov. Ododo as Kogi Special Advisers Forum takes Free Medical Outreach to Kogi East, as Forum Chairman says the project is life saving

The ongoing free medical outreach organized by the Forum of Special Advisers to the Governor of Kogi State continued today in Anyigba, Dekina Local Government Area, targeting residents of Kogi East Senatorial District.

The outreach, held at the premises of the Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching Hospital, drew a large number of beneficiaries comprising adult and children from across the district who received free medical consultations, treatment, and medications from a team of healthcare experts

Speaking at the event, the chairman of the Kogi East Local Organizing Committee and Special Adviser to the Governor on Legislative Matters, Rt. Hon. Rabiu Siaka, stressed the initiative as a strategic effort to complement the achievements of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo within his first year in office.

“This free medical outreach is our way of demonstrating governor Ododo’s commitment to the well-being of Kogi citizens. Within just one year, His Excellency has achieved significant milestones in various sectors, and this initiative further stresses his love and dedication to the people,” Siaka stated.

He further assured that the people of Kogi East would continue to support the governor’s administration, recognizing his efforts to improve workers welfare, infrastructure, healthcare delivery and other critical areas of development.

Several beneficiaries expressed their gratitude to the governor and the Forum of Special Advisers for bringing the healthcare initiative to their doorstep. Two beneficiaries who spoke to journalists commended Governor Ododo for his people-centered governance and lauded the Special Advisers for their efforts in reaching out to the grassroots.

Earlier, the Chairman of Dekina local government area, Hon. Ikani Urah who was represented by the Vice Chairperson, Hajiya Rashidat Ogwu praised Governor Ododo for ensuring that the dividends of democracy gets to the people at the grassroots. He said the governor has proven to naysayers that he is governor for all, adding that the people Dekina local government area are full of praises to him.

The medical outreach, which began in Okene for Kogi Central Senatorial District, will conclude tomorrow in the Kogi West Senatorial District, as part of activities marking the governor’s one-year anniversary in office.
