I Have the Capacity to Change Benue’s Story – Waya

By Nelson Ogbu

Governorship aspirant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Hon. Joseph Waya, has declared that he is fully prepared to provide purposeful leadership and transform Benue State if elected governor.

Waya made the statement in Makurdi during the presentation and signing of his nomination and expression of interest forms before party coordinators, nominators, and supporters drawn from across the state.

Speaking at the event held at Bem Hotel, the ADC governorship hopeful said his ambition is driven by the desire to address the real challenges facing the people, including insecurity, poor healthcare, hunger, and decaying infrastructure.

“I have what it takes to lead Benue differently. Our people deserve practical solutions, not endless blame games and insults,” Waya stated.

He said his manifesto focuses on security, agriculture, healthcare, and infrastructure development, adding that his decades of experience in the defense sector have equipped him with the knowledge to tackle insecurity effectively.

Waya also called for free, fair, and transparent party primaries, urging coordinators and delegates to resist every form of manipulation during the process.

Earlier, ADC stakeholders led by Makurdi Local Government Chairman, Hon. Tsav Raymond, described Waya as a trusted and dependable leader who has contributed immensely to the growth of the party in Benue State.

Other speakers at the gathering pledged support for his ambition and expressed confidence in his leadership capacity ahead of the party primaries.
