“I Remain Fully APC” — Ereyitomi Denounces Forged NDC Card as Political Blackmail

The Member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Thomas Ereyitomi, has strongly condemned the circulation of a purported Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) membership card allegedly bearing his photograph and personal details, describing the development as a malicious act of political blackmail orchestrated by desperate detractors seeking to damage his reputation and political standing.

In an official disclaimer personally signed and released to the public, the federal lawmaker categorically dismissed the membership card as fake, fabricated, and criminally forged, insisting that he has never applied for membership in the NDC nor held any form of meeting, communication, or political association with officials of the party. He stressed that he remains a committed and loyal member of the All Progressives Congress and has no intention whatsoever of abandoning the ruling party.

Rt. Hon. Ereyitomi stated that the alleged forged card was deliberately manufactured to create a false impression of anti-party activities and to mislead members of the public ahead of the forthcoming political engagements. According to him, the sponsors of the propaganda are frightened by his growing political influence, remarkable grassroots acceptance, and visible legislative achievements across Warri Federal Constituency.

The lawmaker further declared that his political journey within the APC has remained transparent, consistent, and rooted in loyalty, adding that no amount of propaganda, cyber manipulation, or politically motivated falsehood can erase his years of dedicated service to the people. He noted that he has already been duly screened and cleared under the APC platform for the forthcoming elections, a development he said clearly exposes the futility of the fabricated narrative being pushed by political opponents.

Describing the incident as an assault on democratic ethics and responsible political conduct, Ereyitomi revealed that security and investigative agencies have already been notified and mandated to investigate the origin of the forged membership card. He vowed that every individual connected to the act of cyber forgery and political sabotage would be identified and prosecuted in accordance with the law.

He also appealed to his supporters, party faithful, and constituents across Warri Federal Constituency to disregard the fake NDC membership card and remain focused on the collective progress being recorded under his representation. He emphasized that enemies of progress often resort to misinformation and deceit when confronted with the realities of performance, popularity, and political credibility.

Political observers within Warri Federal Constituency have described the controversy as another reflection of the rising political tension ahead of future electoral contests, noting that Rt. Hon. Ereyitomi has remained one of the dominant political figures in the constituency due to his consistent engagement with the grassroots and sustained empowerment initiatives.

Despite the controversy, the lawmaker maintained a confident tone, declaring that truth and loyalty will always triumph over conspiracy and falsehood. He reaffirmed his commitment to the APC, to democratic values, and to the continued development of Warri Federal Constituency, while praying for peace, unity, and progress for the people of the constituency and the nation at large.
