Ereyitomi Slams “Criminal Forgery” of Alleged NDC Membership Card

Member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Thomas Ereyitomi, has vehemently condemned the circulation of a purported Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) membership card allegedly bearing his identity, describing the document as a “criminal forgery” deliberately designed to malign his political image and mislead the public.

In a strongly worded disclaimer personally signed and released to journalists, the federal lawmaker dismissed the controversial card as fake, fraudulent, and politically motivated, insisting that he has never at any time applied for membership in the NDC or participated in any political activity associated with the party.

Ereyitomi reaffirmed his unwavering loyalty to the All Progressives Congress (APC), stating that he remains fully committed to the ideals and leadership structure of the ruling party. According to him, the circulation of the alleged membership card is the handiwork of desperate political opponents seeking to create the false impression of anti-party activities around his person.

“The purported NDC membership card being circulated on social media and other platforms is entirely false, malicious, and criminally forged. I have no link whatsoever with the NDC and I remain a loyal member of the APC,” he declared.

The Warri federal lawmaker noted that his political career has always been characterized by consistency, transparency, and dedication to the welfare of his constituents, adding that no amount of propaganda or cyber manipulation can erase his longstanding relationship with the APC and the people of Warri Federal Constituency.

He further explained that he had already undergone the necessary party screening and validation processes under the APC platform, stressing that the sponsors of the alleged forgery were merely attempting to sow seeds of discord and confusion within the political space.

Describing the act as a direct assault on democratic ethics and responsible political engagement, Ereyitomi disclosed that security agencies and legal authorities have been formally notified to investigate the source of the fake membership card and bring those responsible to justice.

He warned that forgery, impersonation, and deliberate misinformation are criminal offences punishable under the law, adding that his legal team has already commenced the process of tracking individuals behind the circulation of the alleged document.

The lawmaker also appealed to his supporters, APC faithful, and constituents across Warri South, Warri North, and Warri South-West Local Government Areas to remain calm and disregard the fake card, assuring them that the truth would prevail over political falsehood.

According to Ereyitomi, enemies of progress often resort to blackmail and fabricated propaganda when confronted with political credibility, grassroots acceptance, and visible performance. He reiterated his commitment to quality representation, empowerment initiatives, and sustained development across Warri Federal Constituency.

Political analysts in Delta State have described the controversy as part of the heightened political tension and strategic realignments currently shaping the political landscape ahead of future elections, especially among influential political figures in the Niger Delta region.

Despite the unfolding controversy, Ereyitomi maintained a confident disposition, declaring that no conspiracy or politically motivated campaign of calumny would distract him from his legislative responsibilities and commitment to the people he represents.
