JIDE SUNDAY ALEDARE (MASN) PENS A TRIBUTE TO LATE PRINCESS OF GWANDU EMIRATE, HAJIA MAI’INA HARUNA RASHEED
Rest on Hajia, my benefactor of no small proportion. Thank you for loving me specially. I’m glad our relationship crossed the threshold of employer-employee relationship.
You were simply a mother figure, the reason, I had to write to notify you I will be writing my resignation letter few months before resigning; a letter you reluctantly approved when the time came. This showed how dear you were to me. I fought very hard holding back my tears but my emotions failed me.
I will choose you over again and again, my Matriarch of irrefutable candour and unquenchable passion for quality.
Thank you for the special Christmas gifts, the Sallah packages, the abroad gifts and many more. Countless were your act of kindness to me and my household, my Heroine.
Hajia gave much premium to the welfare of her staff like no other employer. I remember with nostalgia, when she flew in from Dubia even as a recuperating patient, just to ensure her staff were paid in due time. She refused to stay back in Abuja to rest even for a day, because it was already 25th. She came in and paid the salary of that month on the 26th, and had to tender a passionate apology for delaying the payment of that month’s salary to 26th as against 24th, her normal day of paying staff. What a mother you were, my Hajia! I’m pained, but celebrating, because I had in you, a special mother whose royalty glitters unblemish.
Rest on, my Hajia! Rest on, my Heroine – Hajia Mai’ina Haruna Rasheed..
