Just In: Gov. Ododo Swears in 21 Newly Elected Kogi LG Executive Chairmen

The newly elected Executive Chairmen in the 21 Local Government Areas of Kogi State have been sworn in.

Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo performed the ceremony at the Government House today.

Gov. Ododo inaugurated the 21 newly elected local government Council chairmen following their confirmation as winners of the October 19th local government election by the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission, KOSIEC.

This was followed with a charge for them to champion development at the grassroots for the betterment of the people.

The All Progressives Congress clinged all the chairmanship seats of the 21 local government as announced by KOSIEC.

Gov. Ododo while addressing the people reiterated commitment to good governance at the grassroots as a Strong advocate of local government autonomy.

Gov. Ododo said his administration will Ensure the third tier work to bring governance closer to the people as a beneficiary of a free and fair election.

The chairmen took their oath of office and allegiance to the constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria.
