Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin Road Construction to Begin Soon — Senator Karimi Prioritizes Infrastructure Before December Empowerment Scheme
Senator Sunday Steve Karimi has confirmed that construction work on the Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin Road is scheduled to commence two weeks after Easter. This crucial infrastructure project is expected to open up economic opportunities, improve mobility, and drastically reduce security threats in the area.
The Senator reaffirmed his commitment to meaningful and impactful development, stressing that long-term investments like road infrastructure must take precedence over temporary relief measures. According to him, Fixing the Kabba-Egbe-Ilorin Road is not just a construction project—it is a gateway to economic revival, improved safety, and easier access to markets, schools, and healthcare.
In response to inquiries about empowerment programs, Senator Karimi gave his assurance that on or before December, he will launch a comprehensive self-employment empowerment initiative fully funded from his personal resources. This program will include the distribution of motorcycles, refrigerators, sewing machines, and other tools to support artisans, small business owners, and youth across the senatorial district.
“This empowerment will come directly from my pocket because I believe in building people, not just giving out items. But first, we must lay a strong foundation by completing this road project. When our roads are good, businesses thrive, and opportunities multiply,” he said.
Senator Karimi urges all constituents to remain patient and supportive, assuring them that both infrastructural and economic empowerment efforts are on track. He remains steadfast in his vision for a more prosperous, self-reliant, and secure senatorial districts.
