KABBA EROSION DISASTER: Chairman Forum of Special Advisers to the Governor, Omoluabi commiserate with victims, promises to mobilize State/FG for relief, intervention

The Chairman of the Kogi Forum of Special Advisers to Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi Mnipr have commiserated with the victims of the unfortunate flood disaster that occurred at some locations in Kabba, Kabba/Bunu LGA over the weekend.

The Special Adviser in a release made available on Sunday says the unfortunate disaster is a devastating matter that have left many people of his community homeless and displaced, stating that it is most unfortunate, unexpected and troubling.

He described the Saturday night rain as the cause of the incident.

He encouraged the people affected not to lose hope but trust in God for restoration.

He charged them to remain vigilant and security conscious around the locations of the the incident. He thank God that no life was lost to the incident, stating that a property lost can be regained, but a life lost is lost forever, a situation he says requires the people to thank God rather than depressed, for when their is life, hope is not lost.

The Special Adviser however assured the victims of his determination to rally relief materials and intervention from the State government, Federal government and private sources, promising to ensure that none of them is left to bear the effects alone. He further said it is not a good thing to happen anytime, especially at the crucial global economic reality, making it very difficult and excruciatingly painful for anyone to lose goods and properties worth several millions.

Omoluabi charges the people living along flood prone areas to be conscious where there is no alternative or leave for safer places where they have alternatives.

Omoluabi says Governor Ododo’s administration through the AcreSal has invested several billions in Kabbaland in the last one year in area of erosion control which if not would have made flooding worse in the area.

He commended the Governor for prioritizing the welfare and safety of the people through the Kabba erosion control project.

He said he is confident that the Ododo administration would not leave the flood victims to bear their loses alone
