Kogi AGILE Celebrates International Women’s Day
The Kogi State Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (Kogi AGILE) proudly joins the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day, recognizing the remarkable achievements and contributions of women and girls in Kogi State and beyond.
International Women’s Day serves as a beacon of empowerment and solidarity, highlighting the importance of gender equality, women’s rights and inclusive development. In alignment with this year’s theme, ” Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” Kogi AGILE reaffirms its commitment to advancing the rights and opportunities of adolescent girls in Kogi State.
Since its inception, AGILE has been at the forefront of promoting education, skills development and empowerment initiatives tailored to the unique needs of adolescent girls. Through innovative programs, mentorship and community engagement, AGILE strives to create a supportive environment where girls can thrive, succeed and become leaders of change in their communities.
On International Women’s Day, Kogi AGILE is hosting a series of online sensitization aimed at raising awareness, inspiring action and fostering dialogue on critical issues affecting women and girls.
The Project Coordinator of Kogi AGILE, Dr. Abdulhakeem Bello expressed his gratitude to the partners, stakeholders and supporters, who have championed the cause of gender equality and women’s empowerment in Kogi State. He emphasized the pivotal role of education in equipping girls with the knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue their dreams and aspirations.
As Kogi AGILE commemorates International Women’s Day, the initiative calls upon all stakeholders to redouble their efforts in breaking down barriers, challenging stereotypes and fostering a culture of equality and inclusion.
By investing in the education and empowerment of adolescent girls, he said, Kogi State can unlock the full potentials of its young population and build a brighter and more prosperous future for all.
