Kogi AGILE Celebrates International Women’s Day

The Kogi State Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (Kogi AGILE) proudly joins the global community in celebrating International Women’s Day, recognizing the remarkable achievements and contributions of women and girls in Kogi State and beyond.

International Women’s Day serves as a beacon of empowerment and solidarity, highlighting the importance of gender equality, women’s rights and inclusive development. In alignment with this year’s theme, ” Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress,” Kogi AGILE reaffirms its commitment to advancing the rights and opportunities of adolescent girls in Kogi State.

The Project Coordinator of Kogi AGILE, Dr. Abdulhakeem Bello expressed his gratitude to the partners, stakeholders and supporters, who have championed the cause of gender equality and women’s empowerment in Kogi State. He emphasized the pivotal role of education in equipping girls with the knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue their dreams and aspirations.

As Kogi AGILE commemorates International Women’s Day, the initiative calls upon all stakeholders to redouble their efforts in breaking down barriers, challenging stereotypes and fostering a culture of equality and inclusion.

By investing in the education and empowerment of adolescent girls, he said, Kogi State can unlock the full potentials of its young population and build a brighter and more prosperous future for all.
