Kogi Education Commissioner, Hon. Wemi Jones, Inspects Schools, Assures Students of Govt’s Commitment
Kogi State – Hon. Wemi Jones, the Commissioner for Education, Kogi State, has conducted an unscheduled inspection of schools in Kogi Central and Kogi West Senatorial Districts, assuring students of the government’s commitment to education and security.
During the visit, Jones urged students, especially those in SSS3 and JSS3 preparing for external exams, to remain focused and disciplined, noting that the state government has taken full responsibility for their exam fees, including WAEC.
He disclosed that the WAEC exam will be Computer-Based Testing (CBT) and that the government has funded comprehensive CBT training for students.
The Commissioner also emphasized the importance of security consciousness, urging students to report any suspicious activities to authorities.
Jones inspected newly completed school buildings and infrastructural projects, expressing satisfaction with the quality and pace of work.
The visit was part of Jones’ hands-on approach to monitoring resumption compliance and assessing learning conditions.
