Kogi Guber: APC Candidate, Ododo’s Ambition Receives A Boost As Pius Kolawole Receives Massive Defectors From PDP, ADC to APC In Yagba West.

It was a celebration galore in the All Progressives Congress (APC), Yagba West as the Executive Chairman of Yagba West Local Government, Hon. Pius Kolawole receives over 120 defectors to the All Progressives Congress today.
The defectors who were former members of the People’s Democratic party(PDP) and the African Democratic Party(ADC) declared that they were motivated to join the party in order to work for the victory of Usman Ododo in the November, 11 Governorship election in the state.

They also mentioned that the leadership style of inclusivity and commitment of the Executive Chairman of the Local Government to Ododo’s , projects inspired them to take the decision to support the project.
The spoke person for the group Chief Adeyemi Olagoke, said since Pius had become the chairman of the local government, he has tried his best to carry everybody along irrespective of one’s party affiliation.
He promised that more people will be joining the party henceforth to support the candidate of the APC, Usman Ododo to win in November election as they are poised to embark on house-to-house mobilization.
The Executive Chairman of Yagba West, Pius Kolawole in his remark, thanked the decampees for the hard decision taken and assured them that they shall enjoy the same rights and privilege enjoyed by any other members as there is no joiners in the Party
The Council boss further reiterated that his support for Ododo becoming the governor of the State is for the good of the people of Kogi State, because it will allow for stability, continuity and consolidation.
The council boss who was overwhelmed with joy said, he is of the opinion that Okun people will enjoy more benefits under Ododo’s government, saying, the Kogi State University, Kabba, College of Education Technical Mopa among other expectations will be accorded priority.
“I have personal commitment of the APC,s candidate, Alhaji Usman Ododo that he will ensure our road from Kabba to Egbe will be given the attention it deserves.”
“So, our support for Ododo is for the good of our people which informed why we are appealing to all of us to come and join hands with good people of Kogi State in the efforts towards ensuring Ododo’s, victory in the November election” The Council boss said.
The Chairman also announced that all the support groups working for the election of Usman Ododo will be consolidated into a workable group for effective coordination and monitoring.
The Chairman also use the opportunity to appeal to Nigerians to be patient with the current reforms introduced by President Bola Tinubu which has caused a lot of hardship for the citizens.
He said, these reforms are recognized as necessary steps to taking Nigerians out of extreme poverty and unemployment challenges which had held our country hostage for too long.
The LGA party Chairman, Chief S. O David commended the defectors for their desire to see a united Kogi State, saying, that the party will treat them with much respect they deserve by carrying them along in all the party’s activities and programs.
The event was attended by the Vice Chairman, Hon. (Mrs) Eunice Balogun, the SLG, Chief Kayode John, LG political appointees, LG, party Executive members, Ward Chairmen and other stakeholders of APC in Yagba West.
