Kogi LG Polls: An Open Letter To Governor Ododo On Need To Allow For Level Playing Field

His Excellency sir,

Let us first of all, use this medium to congratulate you on your deserved victory at the Appellate Court.

It is a victory for all Kogites, irrespective of party affiliation and other minute considerations.

By the grace of God, the victory shall be sealed and made total at the Supreme Court.

We are, also particularly impressed with your very proactive and prompt action after the Supreme Court judgment granting Full Autonomy to the 774 Local Government in the country.

It shows clearly that you know your onions!

Today, the Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) have announced timetable for the conduct of party primaries and subsequent election on 19th October, 2024.

Great move and it gets to show that democracy is at play!

What however, is of great concern is that some “POWERFUL APC STAKEHOLDERS” are planning to hijack the process of conduct of primary.

In spite of your directive for each aspirant to go all out and test their popularities before the delegates, some of these powerful Stakeholders are hell-bent on selection rather than election.

Your Excellency, information is rife that you are opposed to imposition!

Why would your words not be actionable!

Our inimitable and visionary Leader, the reason why some of our party candidates failed woefully in the last election was due to their lack of popularity.

This pave way for the opposition to exploit to the fullest.

In fact, some party members worked against the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last election!

His Excellency, as it stands right now, the general public (not just party members) know you to be fair, just and equitable in your dealings.

You must be mindful of some of our APC leaders who are not in consonance with the grassroot but will rather prefer to dine and whine in Abuja!

That is what is expected of great leaders and father – figure like you.

We honestly desire that you follow this truthful path in the next Local government primary election.

This is our honest hope and high optimism, your excellency!

Thank you, your Excellency for doing the right thing!

Long Live Governor Ododo Ahmed Usman!
Long Live Kogi State APC!!
Long Live Kogi State!!!

Signed:
Abiodun Isaac
