Kogi LGA Polls: Odolu Ward Councillor-elect, Comfort Obaromi, appreciates Ododo, Kabba monarch, electorate
The winner of the Councillorship election for Odolu Ward in Kabba-Bunu Local Government Area (LGA) of Kogi State, Mrs. Comfort Olufunke Obaromi of All Progressives Congress (APC), has expressed her profound gratitude and appreciation to the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Usman Ododo, Obaro of Kabba, HRM Oba Solomon Owoniyi, Oba of Odolu, Oba Joseph Osatuyi, APC stakeholders, Odolu ward members, the electorate, friends and relations for their support towards her aspiration.
Mrs Obaromi, a cerebral educationist and former Senior Lecturer in the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities, at Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, gave the appreciation after she won to emerge the Councillor-elect for Odolu ward in the Kogi State LGA polls that held on Saturday, October 19, 2024.
Her words: “On behalf my campaign team, I wish to wholeheartedly extend my warm greetings, profound gratitude and appreciation to His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, the indefatigable, dynamic and performing governor of our dear Kogi State, the highly revered Obaro of Kabba, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Otitoleke Owoniyi, Oba of Odolu, Oba Joseph Osatuyi, distinguished APC stakeholders and members of Odolu Ward, friends and relations, my beloved husband, Dr. Abiodun Davies Obaromi and children, siblings and mum, Mrs Grace Olushola Alemayo, for their support towards my councillorship aspiration which culminated into my victory at the polls.

“No doubt, the extent of support and solidarity I received in the course of the electioneering campaign was massive and unprecedented. The unalloyed love you showed me and your total acceptability of my candidature will not be taken for granted, even as you have elected me to be your representative at the legislative chamber of Kabba Bunu Local Government Area (LGA).
“Let me assure everyone that I hold this mandate that has just been given to me by the good people of Odolu Ward, to represent them at the legislative arm of the Kabba-Bunu LGA dearly. And so, I would use it judiciously to bring meaningful development to communities under my purview as the legislator representing Odolu Ward in the local government council.
“I want to particularly assure His Excellency, Governor Ododo that the Kabba Bunu LGA Legislative Council, would work closely and cooperatively with the newly elected Chairman of our local government, Barrister Michael Dare Zacchaeus, to drive, push and ensure the actualization of his agenda for sustainable development at the grassroots level.”
She congratulated the Kabba-Bunu LGA Chairman-elect, Barrister Zacchaeus, expressing confidence in his ability to deliver, having previously held sway as the caretaker chairman of the local government.
The erstwhile Senior Lecturer equally sent felicitations to her fellow councillors-elect in Kabba Bunu LGA, while also rejoicing with all the APC chairmanship and Councillorship candidates that emerged victorious across the state in the LGA polls.
