He noted that the state will not be home to cultism, thuggery and other social vices, pointed out that the security agencies has been directed to deal decisively with anyone curt with any act of hooligansim.

Below is the detailed statement

Earlier today, I met with student delegation from the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) and the Association of Nigeria Female Students (ANFS) to address the recent incessant attacks on students in Felele, Lokoja, by thugs and cultists.

His Excellency Governor Ododo vehemently condemns these attacks and in response, has directed the formation of a committee comprising relevant authorities and security personnel to thoroughly investigate, swiftly identify those responsible and put an immediate end to these distressing incidents.

To those behind these acts of terror, I urge an immediate cessation and retreat. Be warned that there will be no leniency for anyone caught. Kogi State is no place for cultism and thuggery.

And to our dear students, you are not alone. The governor is deeply committed to the safety and well-being of every student in Kogi State. Rest assured that we will utilize all necessary resources to apprehend the perpetrators, ensure they face the full extent of the law, and guarantee your continued safety.
