Kogi State Government shows commitment to welfare of citizens as compensation for project affected persons kicks off in Kabba-Bunu-Wemi Jones
The Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Alhaji Usman Ododo, represented by Hon. Commissioner for Environment and Ecology Management, Engr. Joseph Olusegun, recently flagged off the compensation of Project Affected Persons (PAPs) in Omigbo Kabba.
The honourable commissioner for Education Hon Wemi Jones FCIB emphasized the government’s commitment to the welfare of its citizens, ensuring that those affected by the project are well taken care of.
Highlighting the people-oriented approach of the Usman Ododo led administration, Hon Wemi Jones FCIB praised the Governor for securing counterpart funding to address the needs of the affected individuals.
He commended the residents of Kabba-Bunu and Owe for their unwavering support for the Governor since the beginning of his tenure.
The compensation program was organized by the Kogi State Agro Climate Resilience in Semi Arid Landscape (ACReSAL) Project, aimed at mitigating the impact of the project on the affected persons. Hon. Wemi Jones FCIB urged the people of Kabba-Bunu to continue praying for His Excellency, assuring them of more government interventions in the local government area.
Several dignitaries were present at the flag off ceremony, including Barr. Ladi Jatto, ACRESAL Project Coordinator, HRM. Oba. Owoniyi the Obaro of Kabba, and Hon. Dare Zachious, the Chairman of Kabba/Bunu LGA.
The event highlighted the government’s dedication to the wellbeing of its citizens and the ongoing development initiatives in Kogi State.
