Kogi West Youth Leaders Forum Endorses Senator Dino Melaye for Governorship.

By Amuda Muhammad – Lokoja

Lokoja, Kogi State – The Kogi West Youth Leaders Forum has officially endorsed Senator Dino Melaye as the candidate to support for the upcoming Governorship election on November 11, 2023. The endorsement was made during an extraordinary general meeting of the Forum held in the early hour of today, November 8th in Lokoja, the State Capital.

Comrade Mohammed Abdullahi, the President of the Forum, spoke during the press conference and emphasized the need for Kogi East and Kogi Central to show appreciation and collective support for Kogi West in producing the next governor for the state since its creation in 1991.

The Forum calls upon all well-meaning youth leaders across Kogi West to unite behind Senator Dino Melaye, the only candidate from the West vying under a national party from the zone. They believe that Melaye’s leadership and vision align with the interests and aspirations of the people of Kogi West.

Additionally, the Forum implores Elder Leke Abejide and Olayinka Braimoh to allow reason to prevail if the progress of Kogi West and the state as a whole is truly the agenda. They acknowledge that the structure plays a significant role in any election, particularly the Gubernatorial Election, and emphasize that only the PDP and APC currently have the necessary structures across the state. They appeal to Abejide and Braimoh to support Melaye and enable him to fight for the collective interests of Kogi West.

In a show of appreciation and recognition, the Kogi West Youth Leaders Forum promises to reciprocate this gesture to Elder Leke Abejide and Otunba Olayinka Braimoh in any capacity when the opportunity arises. The Forum commends their capacity and acknowledges them as excellent ambassadors of the youth leaders.

The endorsement of Senator Dino Melaye by the Kogi West Youth Leaders Forum serves as a significant boost to his campaign and increases the chances of his victory in the upcoming governorship election. The Forum is committed to working tirelessly to ensure that Senator Dino Melaye emerges as the next governor of Kogi State, bringing about positive and impactful change for the people of Kogi West.

End.
