The strategic summit, themed “Promoting Development and Infrastructure Growth in Alignment with the 32-Year State Development Plan,” was convened in collaboration with Safegate Consulting Limited and brought together top policymakers, infrastructure experts, development partners and key government functionaries from across the country.

Speaking after the summit, the Kogi State Commissioner for Works, Hon. Engr. Mohamed Ahovi Yusuf, described the engagement as a powerful platform that reinforced the state government’s unwavering commitment to long-term, people-driven, and sustainable infrastructure development across Kogi East, Central, and West senatorial districts.

According to him, the discussions at the summit deepened conversations around pragmatic infrastructure delivery, innovative project financing, and sustainable development architecture tailored to the economic future of Kogi State.
In his words “It was an awe-inspiring gathering of experts, thought leaders and development partners, united by a shared commitment to advancing the infrastructural renaissance of our dear state,” the Commissioner said.

Hon. Yusuf hailed the foresight, courage and selfless leadership of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, noting that the Governor’s clear development compass, anchored on efficiency, transparency and inclusive governance, remains the driving force behind Kogi’s strategic infrastructure revolution.
He stressed that every road project, urban renewal effort, bridge construction, and public facility upgrade currently underway across the state reflects the Governor’s deep understanding of the long-term needs of Kogites and his determination to ensure that no community is left behind.
“His Excellency’s firsthand knowledge of the challenges of our people and his readiness to take decisive action continue to guide every policy direction, reform and strategic partnership we pursue,” he added.

The Commissioner reaffirmed the unflinching commitment of the Ministry of Works to fully key into the Governor’s transformational agenda, assuring that the Ministry is strategically positioned to drive infrastructure projects that align with global best practices and the objectives of the 32-Year Development Plan.

He emphasized that with strengthened collaboration, innovation, and accountability, the Ododo administration will continue to deliver durable, high-impact and legacy-defining infrastructure that will firmly position Kogi State as a model of purposeful governance and sustainable economic growth in Nigeria.
“Together, we will continue to build enduring infrastructure that will unlock opportunities, enhance connectivity, stimulate commerce, and improve the quality of life of our people across the three senatorial districts,” Hon. Yusuf stated.

He concluded with a message of unity and renewed commitment to the development dream of the state with assurance of Renewed Hope for sustainability and continuity at both state and federal level come 2027.
