“Leave Footprints of Greatness” — Olumoko Urges Fire Service Chief at Grand Homecoming
At a colourful homecoming reception organised in honour of the Comptroller General of the Federal Fire Service, Adeyemi Sam Onimode, Dr. Funsho Olumoko delivered a powerful charge, urging purposeful leadership and a legacy of excellence.
Dr. Olumoko, Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Pankshin, Plateau State, Director General of the Kogi West APC Campaign Council, and Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassador (RHA), described the celebrant as a symbol of dedication and national service. Known for his refined political style and strong grassroots development background, Olumoko used the moment to inspire bold thinking and visionary leadership.
Quoting former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, he stated, “If your dreams do not scare you, they are not big enough,” emphasizing that true leadership requires setting ambitious goals that push beyond comfort zones. He encouraged the Fire Service boss to embrace daring aspirations capable of transforming the institution.
He further charged the Comptroller General to work with relentless commitment throughout his tenure, stressing that after eight years in office, the impact of his leadership should be so evident that anyone who assumes the position would clearly see that a man of purpose once occupied it, leaving behind tangible and significant achievements.
In a heartfelt moment, Dr. Olumoko also commended the wife of the Comptroller General for her unwavering support, noting that behind every successful man is a strong and supportive partner. “When a man is recording success like this, I bet you such a man has a very supportive wife,” he remarked.
The event, marked by celebration and pride, served not only as a homecoming but also as a call to higher service, discipline, and enduring impact in public office.
