SWS APPRECIATES OONI OF IFE AND OORE OF OTUN EKITI FOR ACCEPTING TO SERVE AS NATIONAL AND SOUTH WEST PATRONS
The Standup for Women Society (SWS) expresses profound gratitude to His Imperial Majesty, Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, for graciously accepting to serve as the National Patron (Life) of our noble organization.
We are equally honoured by the acceptance of His Royal Majesty, Oore of Otun Ekiti, Oba Adekunle Adeayo Adeagbo, who has also agreed to serve as the South West Patron of Standup for Women Society.
The International President of SWS, Barr. Deborah A. Ijadele-Adetona, led the entourage to the revered palaces of the two paramount rulers, where the royal fathers warmly received the vision and objectives of the Society and gave their blessings and fatherly support.

This historic development marks a significant milestone in the journey of our organization.
The acceptance of His Imperial Majesty as our National Patron strengthens our vision, affirms our values, and elevates our collective mission of empowering women, promoting dignity, advancing gender equity, and building a better society for all.
The endorsement by these highly respected traditional institutions is not only a great honour but also a strong moral compass that will guide our advocacy, community interventions, and empowerment programmes across Nigeria and beyond.
The colourful ceremonial and decoration events were successfully concluded and were well attended by the good people of Ife and Ekiti respectively, reflecting the overwhelming support and goodwill towards the mission of Standup for Women Society.
We therefore charge all SWS members, particularly those in the South West region and across the federation, to rededicate themselves to the core objectives of the Society. This honour comes with responsibility.
We must continue to:
Promote the protection and advancement of women’s rights, Encourage education, entrepreneurship, and leadership among women and girls, Stand firmly against all forms of violence and discrimination
Uphold integrity, discipline, and service in all our engagements
The confidence reposed in us by these foremost royal fathers must be matched with measurable impact, unity of purpose, and unwavering commitment to our cause.
Once again, Standup for Women Society deeply appreciates His Imperial Majesty, the Ooni of Ife, and His Royal Majesty, the Oore of Otun Ekiti, for their royal endorsement, royal blessings, and fatherly support.
