Mangu Farmers Set to Benefit from Government Agricultural Initiatives

The Executive Chairman of Mangu Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Mwolpun, has announced that his local government will benefit from government interventions and policies aimed at enhancing agriculture.
Hon. Mwolpun stated that Mangu is a hub for agriculture in Plateau State, producing crops like Irish potatoes, sweet potatoes, soya beans, and maize in commercial quantities.
Speaking to journalists at Government House in Jos after attending the presidential flag-off of the agricultural food systems and presentation of checks to insured farmers.
Hon. Mwolpun said his administration will collaborate with both federal and state governments to enroll farmers in programs that provide improved seedlings, fertilizers, and other essential inputs.
The chairman attended the program to witness the pilot scheme, with plans to adopt it in Mangu to support the local farming community.
He emphasized that his administration will not rest on its oars but will work tirelessly to ensure that farmers in Mangu benefit from these initiatives.
By partnering with the federal and state governments, Hon. Mwolpun aims to improve agricultural productivity and support the livelihoods of farmers in Mangu Local Government Area.
