NATIONAL PRESIDENT OF MACBAN PROMISES SUPPORT TO BAGO-LED ADMINISTRATION
***PAYS CONDOLENCE VISIT TO THE FARMER GOVERNOR.

The National President of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN),
Baba Othman Ngelzarma, has promised that the Association will continue to support the Bago-led administration to ensure peace, especially between farmers and herders in the State.

The National President of MACBAN gave the promise when he led a delegation on a sympathy visit to farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, over the tanker explosion that claimed many lives.

Othman Ngelzarma appreciated the farmer Governor for embracing the fulani people and being a father to all.

He noted that the creation of Nomadic and Pastoral as well as livestock sub-sectors are a welcome development, adding that the effort has gone a long way in balancing the disparity and lopsidedness that has hitherto existed between the livestock and agronomy.

The National President of MACBAN who commended the leadership style and the remarkable infrastructural development assured that the herders will live in peace with farmers.

While commiserating with the farmer Governor, Othman Ngelzarma prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed, heal the injured and comfort the families of the victims.

Responding, the farmer Governor appreciated the visit and acknowledged the relationship existing between the Fulani and other people in the State.

He observed that the Fulani people have hitherto been neglected in terms of provision of basic amenities and assured that his administration will change the narrative by coming up with strategies that would bring an end to herders/farmers clashes.

Similarly, the Niger North Senator and immediate past Governor of Niger State, Abubakar Sani Bello, Member House of Representatives, representing Biu/Bayo/Shani/Kwaya Kusar Federal Constituency, Borno State, Muktar Aliyu Betera among other Federal lawmakers and the Dujima of Adamawa who doubles as Chairman, Tilt Group of Companies Ltd, Musa Halilu, also paid condolence visits to the farmer Governor over the recent tanker explosion in Diko Junction.
